Glenn Beck and the US healthcare

Okay, I'm not a US citizen and I'm not an expert on the talks (or debates?) about health care in America. But as I watch Fox News now as I write, I'm kind of disturbed by Fox anchor/radio commentator Glenn Beck's behavior. Glenn Beck is known for lambasting the Obama administration's health care directions. This morning, Glenn Beck's video which was recorded while he was having his radio show, is being shown over Fox News . He is shown profusely debating with a woman caller about health care. Beck was, as usual, deriding Obama's health care plans. The woman, who was defending the Obama administration's moves, asked Beck what he will do if he were in the position. And Beck, instead of answering the well-meaning question, screamed at the top of his voice, "Get off my phone!"

Whew! Couldn't he just answer it? What a way to end a losing debate.

  2. It wasn't just that, Betchai. While they were talking, Beck was actually screaming at the caller. Maybe he couldn't get to his point without shouting?
I've been a radio broadcaster for close to 7 yrs but we were trained to hold our horses and never to be rude to our callers, even if we sometimes encountered callers who were plainly sick in the brain. Beck and his caller had a very good topic worthy of cerebral exchange instead of growling.

  3. Glenn Beck is psychotic. I think he truly is a true conservative, but psychotic. I heard this scream he did, and it was not just a scream, he literally was balistic. Not only is the question a valid one, but what would he do if he were in their shoes, or any Fox anchor berating universal health care with they uppity snotty attitudes. Cavuto with MS, how would he afford his very expensive medication, Varney with his snooty, greedy holier than though, self and all those kids he has. I swear Rupert Murdock the owner of Fox news, must have big investments in the drug companies, and health insurance companies, or there just simply is nothing else to talk about. Yes, it will be expensive, but it already is, and very unaffordable for many people. And I am tired of them saying well people making 50,000 dollars per year are just refusing to pay for it. Yeah that is a lot of money, when you have kids, and it costs close to 600 a month. Please, they are ridiculous, and I would like to see Beck removed from Fox, he has already left CNN he needs some major medication.

  4. That's shameful. I cannot see how anyone would respect him after that.

  6. Such a shameful act indeed. Well, things are easier said than done and to roast someone is so easy but if we are in position, we will surely be in hell to deal with such situation.
